I'm a pretty good cook and have always made everything from scratch. But, I'm not all that crazy about someone watching me cook so I'm not sure how I would do if I wasn't familiar with the recipe. I have a tendency to "put a little of this, and a little of that" in some of my recipes. ( like soup and that sort of thing) Cooking shows want you to be exact! I used to give loads of recipes on a radio cooking show and that was fun.! They were all tried and true recipes that I had made for years..On television I would probably cut my fingers or something foolish like that and get thrown off for making a mess!.

I have some favorite recipes that my daughter occasionally asks me to fix.
But usually on those cooking shows they'll surprise you with something they want you to prepare. I'm not good at baking things from scratch. So I'll be the first one out.
But if they give me an open hand, I may have a good shot with one of my recipes...

Ha, they'd probably put me in jail from killing a judge by food posioning.
I can't cook except for cakes and brownies. Oooo! And Snickerdoodles! Mmmm.... my snickerdoodles rock. Teehee..

what cry babies, funny u should ask because i was thinking about that today. after everything i've been through, "hell's kitchen" would be a walk in the park for me. but, they aren't going to have sane, stable contestants, it wouldn't make for a good show.
