Wow, I am a Christian and believe in heaven and all that so that really changes things. But after living 56 years, lots of bad things happen to good people. I get much satisfaction out of being a good hearted person because I would feel very icky inside using someone else to make me feel good or happy, I would feel guilt etc.

That is a very hard question to define to a point. However I will do my best.
Accordingly it depends on the nature of the good hearted, if they are good hearted. . . And nothing else, then they will be stepped all over. If the are say, good hearted and clever, intelligent, driven, or master of fear. Then they can go much farther then the bad people, and be more liked at the same time.

it doesnt always last trust me...those hs gang bangers i knew didnt go on to college and now still talk about their glory days in hs in their mid 20s at office max
