i just made a video for my english class and its due tomorrow. we finished and it looks GREAT! but now i have a problem..we made the project in windows movie maker, so the file is windows movie maker project or something weird like that. i need to change that to somehting (lie .wmv or .wav or whatever) so i can email it or burn it to a cd or post it. how do i do that??

If your using Windows Movie Maker to make this video, all you have to do is click on "Save to my computer" under the Finish movie of Movie Tasks. Just follow the instructions and here you go, once its done, you made your own WMV formatted movie file.

You don't need a conveter. You can save it in Windows Movie Maker in a .wmv format. You do not do file save or file save as which you did. Re-open the project in the program and this time do File Publish/File Save Movie (it will say one of those depending on what version you have), choose a title, best playback on your computer, wait for it to publish and when it is done - upload that file to youtube. It will be accepted.

OK go to the finish project tab and click save project. Then save it as AVI or something then use nero to burn it.

I use nero also, works great. I used it to cut a clip of a dvd and convert it to mpeg2 so It could be posted to youtube
