Why would you be embarassed. She's a general practitioner. Medical professionals assume tons of questions. You could possibly most effective be showing your situation to your unborn little one by asking a question like that. I am lovely certain that you should start taking your pre-natal nutrition as quickly as you start seeking to have a child. Do not wait until you already know you are pregnant.

Lordy No, it's highly recommended! Start taking them now! In fact it's recommended that you take prenatal vitamins even if you don't plan on having a baby right away, because it ensures that you are not vitamin depleted to begin with. Go, Buy, Take one a day, and good luck!

No, it doesn't hurt. It helps your body get the essential nutrients you need. It will help your body get ready by having all the nutrients available to your baby as soon as you get pregnant. I think it's great that you start early. My hair always gets really thick and shiny when I take prenatal vitamins weather I'm pregnant or not pregnant or nursing. Well, good luck and I hope ;you get blessed with a little one soon!

It is good to take extra vitamins before conceiving - especially folic acid as this prevents Spina Bifida.
AFTER I had a Spina Bifida child myself it was established that it is lack of folic acid BEFORE conception, that is the main cause. So keep on taking them
