If you're in the city, I'm not sure, but if you're in the county there are many. The county is much safer than the city in terms of crime rate. Look it up on hotels.com and email them to me @ perfectlyimperfect619@yahoo.co m & I will let you know what's good or not on your list!

It depends on the area you want a hotel. Downtown hotels are nice and safety is not a problem. Being alone makes one feel unsafe but as long as you are not walking the streets at night and not going out and getting drunk and trying to find your hotel--lol--you will be fine.

Here is a list of hotels in the St. Louis area with prices

The Adams Mark St. Louis Hotel is downtown and the prices start as low as $59. That's not a bad price for being downtown.
I don't know if you are flying in but there are hotels right around the airport. There are even some cheaper ones around the airport

Just read through the reviews that people have left and see if the hotel fits what you want.
Hope you find what you are looking for and have a good time in St. Louis.!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All depends on what part of the city or county you are going to be in. I personally love the Drury Inns because the rooms are nice, they are affordable and safe, you get a free happy hour with snacks (you can get non-alcoholic) and a full hot breakfast for free. There are Drury's in most areas of the city and county. Another great hotel is the Chase Park Plaza which even has a movie theater located in there. Or you could try the hotel at the Union Station which has fun shopping mall attached.

I would recommend staying at a Drury Inn. They are all over St. Louis so you will be able to find one near where you need to be. They provide breakfast that is better than most. I've stayed in several in the St. L area and have not found one that I didn't feel was not safe.

The county is NOT necessarily safer than the city. I lived in the city for two years by myself in a neighborhood that some would consider "sketchy". I never felt like I was in any danger. I worked at a bar in the county and we had something like 15 cars get broken into in a year. I never felt safe in that parking lot. As far as hotels, check out the Adams Mark or the Millennium.

If your interested in the downtown area go www.explorestlouis.com There is a good list the best hotels that are near the riverfront, some other ones too are in westport and clayton areas, don't stay north of lacledes landing area if downtown
