Don Quixote - because I consider it the best book ever written. And I am not alone in that.

I'd say, A Gracious Plenty, by Sheri Reynolds, and The Sand-Reckoner. For the later, I liked it cause the author, Gillian Bradshaw, did a really good job telling the true story of Archimedes except in a fiction-like way. The first, it talks about a girl who is scarred and burned and can speak to the dead, a beautiful piece of writing, I recommend it to everyone.

I love Don Quixote dearly, but I'll pick a different one, since someone else mentioned it already.
My other favorite is War and Peace. It is both a sweeping epic and an intensely personal story at the same time, and I absolutely love it.

You want us to pick only one! I don't think I can.
Favorite childhood book: "Anne of Green Gables" Because as a child I shared a bedroom with my older sister and she would read to me every night. It brings back happy memories.
Favorite book to read to my baby: "Go Away Dog", they love it.
Favorite YA Book. "Harry Potter" I love that they make my children want to read.
Favorite Religious book "Christy" She really has a way of describing things that brings the characters to life.
I'll stop here...

The Bible is my favorite book. It has everything you could want in a book. Action, adventure, murder, passion, love, sacrifice. It has songs that can lift you up. Poetry. It challenges you to think about life. The best part is that it is true! It is amazing when you read it, knowing that these things actually happened to someone.

Probably Dostoevsky's Brothers Karamazov, because of the intelligence, psychology and humanity that he puts into his books.
