I think some of the best scifi is to be found in the digest shows, just s some of the best scifi is short stories. Now everyone has seen the Twilight Zone, but there are almost as many good stories in the Outer Limits (both shows) and Night Gallery. Your question seems to ensure a latter day creation, as most earlier shows were deliberately open ended, the popularity of story arcs is a recent fad. All the best completed scifi shows re British, as they considered them completed after one season. Red Dwarf, still the best scifi series out there. It was "completed" a number of times.

Minnie Pearl aka Sarah Cannon was great on Hee Haw. She had the trademark hat with the tag left on the front brim and her Southern Drawl Hoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwdy!
