that was the dumbest thing..and anyone with half a mind would have known..to let lofton go home instead of holding him up. I can hear people saying..well manny already had thrown out kenny..oh please that was down right luck-and more so loftons fault for trying to turn it into a double.

oh look at that HOOOOOOOMER!..instead of possibly being tied..now its offically over!

first off lofton should have ran through it. he knows how fast he is or isn't and being the only player on the indians who had playoff experience EVEN THE COACHES...he should have known better. second anyone ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION knew that lofton would have easily scored. you know why the indians, rockies and others..do so good? BECAUSE THEY DON'T PLAY THE GAME ITS SAID THE WAY IT SHOULD BE PLAYED. for example in the regular season-cleveland would have sent the runner instead of holding him..and a point lost on them was that YOU DON'T CHANGE YOUR GAME PLAN when that's what got you there.

points lost on people. instead they want to live in the..oh well this is how it always is..well if you keep saying that then thats exactly how it will always be.

The last thing you want to do is run yourself out of a big inning. would I have sent him..yes..did Joe Skinner make a mistake...no. It was 3-2 at tthe time and anything but a strike out, a shallow pop up or what happened, a dp would have scored him. That he would have subsquiently scored if he hadnt tried for the double and gotten thrown out..probably but he did so its a moot point...will Joel Skinner have a job tomorrow...yes...and hes a leading prospect for the Pirate job. Its baseball...and gettign second quessed as a coach or manager is like breathing...it happens all the time

Pedroia's homer made the run Lofton didn't score a moot point. Besides, most third-base coaches are taught to play it cautious with balls coming off the Green Monster.

He was just playing it safe, especially when it came off the wall. It's easy to 2nd guess the call when you get to look at it again.
