I'm a medical microbiologist and a staph infection of the penis, foreskin, glans or just about anywhere down there is actually not uncommon. Go see your doctor who will prescribe appropriate antibiotics.
Good luck

Staph is short for Staphylococcus family - Staph aureus is one of the bacteria that may live on skin or in nose and causes no problems, but in broken skin the bacteria can cause the sore that gets yellow pus. Some of the Staph infections are resistant to antibiotics now and it's a major problem if a Staph infection gets started in a hospital because it's so hard to kill. You'll get a private room - in Isolation.

Yes. What happens is that you pick up the staph infection on your hands or under your finger nails and then low and behold you go to the bathroom and viola you transfer the staph to your penis. If it is a cyst or boil or what you may consider a larger than normal pimple DO NOT TRY TO POP IT!!! This will only make it worse. And will cause even more swelling. I had one on my bottom lip/chin area made the mistake of trying to pop it to relive some of the pressure. I ended up with a chin that was 10x the size of Jay Leno and in the hospital for 3 weeks on IV antibiotics. Go to Wal-Mart or a drug store and ask them for boil medicine. Tell them it is black and smells like motor grease. This usually helps them in finding it. I can't remember the name of it sorry. Apply that to the infected area and it will actually draw the infection out. If it continues to swell or get worse or if it is blocking flow of urination call your doctor right away. Staph can kill, It is not something to take lightly

Yes, you can. Or it could be an STD.
Time to go the to doctor. Tomorrow! If it's a staff infection, it might cause you to lose your penis if not treated. If it's an STD, it also needs treating.
