I lived in a supposedly "haunted house" At the time I was too young to realize that. A man had raped and chopped a girl in little pieces in the woods near my house, and a man had went crazy and killed his whole family in that house. Once when i was younger I had seen a shadow of a man on my wall. True story.
Then i lived in an apartment not even six months ago. A man was supposedly shot to death right outside my window... I can't confirm that in the least bit though. I used to go to sleep and feel something rub my head... or something patting my leg. It was in broad daylight and I was sitting upright in bed watching the covers move like someones hand was on my leg,patting it.
I'm not one to believe in all the ghostly type stuff...but I really can't explain the whole someone that wasn't there patting my leg incident.

No, I do not think that I have ever been in a real haunted house.

I live in a haunted pub if that counts,really it is.
We've seen a man in the cellar on numerous occasions and another one sits in the same seat in the pub every so often,we even smell his pipe,even more so since the smoking ban.Things get moved behind the bar after we have gone to bed and one of the bedrooms is freezing all year round.
My husband and myself have been living here for 14 years so we are used to it.
Are we scared? We were at first but they seem friendly enough so we just say hello when we see them.

Heaven knows what I looked like when I suffered from suicidal depression in the early stages. I was alcoholic as well. Some one gave me full strength everclear with absinthe to flavor it. Supposed to help me sleep but all I did was sit by the open window watching the little night visitors fly in and out of the house.
Perhaps my house and I might have qualified.

No but I've been to the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA, which is haunted by its former prisoners and guards.
