I recommend getting either Beyond Jennifer And Jason, Madison And Montana or The Baby Name Bible from your local bookstore or public library.
We went with a top 20 boys' name for our son, but the girls' names were way out of left field (didn't have to use them, as it turned out).

Picking a baby name is so hard. There are so many to choose from, and if you ask for help you'll only get differnt answers, making it even harder. I suggest that you sit down with a name book and just go through and highlight names you like. See how they mix together and how well they go with your last name. I did this with my first and now am in the process of doing so with my second. You'd be suprised at how many names you like may not flow well with your last name. My last name for example only sounds good with names ending in "n" sounds, "i" sounds, and "a" sounds. If you are looking for original try something a little more common but spell it differntly. You do all kinds of things with the english alphabet since so many letters make so many differnt sounds.
My 2 year old is Byron Xane
If the one I'm carrying now is a boy we have decided on Braxton, but don't know the middle name yet.
If it is a girl her name is going to be Addyson Shianne or Emma Jean. (Named after our grandmothers)

I don't really like throwing out random names to people. Why not go w/ a name from someone in your families? Or a close friend? Do you really want to tell your child "Oh I got your name from some random mofo on Yahoo!"
