Nice parts of Tyler, TX?

Question

I am looking to move to Tyler, Tx in December and I have no idea what parts of town are nicer than others. Anybody from there, can you tell me where I should look into living and where to avoid? I am even interested in little towns outside Tyler if they are nice.

Pop into town and hit the local coffee shop. You will get all the info that you need. High school football is the major draw for everyone but there are local watering holes that cater to the sporting set. The old saw, " the wrong side of the tracks" applies in Tyler. In truth, you are going to have to do it yourself. Your $$ amount and life style can't be quantified on this forum!
