Explanation: When you have two terms separated by an "=", in order to solve for the variable (or the letter), you do the opposite operation to both sides. For example: 5x-2= 2x +3
The opposite of addition (+) is subtraction (-). The opposite of division (/) is multiplication (). Therefore, subtract 2x on both sides so that you get 3x on the left. Then, add 2 on both sides, so that you get 5 on the right. Now you have: 3x=5. Then do the opposite of multiplication, which is division. Now you know that x=5/3.
1. a-6=8-(9+a)
a-6= 8-9-a
a+a= -1+6
2a=5
a=5/2
2. 0.2n=9+8(0.4n-1)
0.2n=9+3.2n-8
0.2n-3.2n=9-8
-3.0n=1
n=1/-3 or -1/3
I hope this helped you a lot!

On number one, add the 3 to the right side. (12+3=15) Now it will look like 5y=2y+15. Now subtract the 2y from the 5y. (5y-2y=3y) Now it will look like 3y=15. Divide 15 by 3 and y=5. So y=5 is your final answer.
Hope this made sense to you. It IS the right answer!

For the first 5, try to get all the variables on one side and the numbers on the other. Like in the first one, add 3 to both sides, then subtract 2y from each side to get 3y=15. Divide by 3 on each side and the answer is y=5. Now go try the other ones and see if you can get them right.

I'll show you another one:
5m+3=3m+9
Transpose to the right terms with variable and to the right term with no variable. In transposing, - becomes + and + becomes -, we get,
5m-3m = 9-3
Combine like terms or do the operation as indicated, we get
2m = 6
m = 3

i don't think finding the solution is the problem. Its understanding the way you wrote the question.. can you edit it so it'll be understandable. Just trying to understand what you mean already drained my brain, nothing left to discover a solution. is Rs a monetary symbol? What is the equivalent of paise to Rs? then are you asking... if you have Rs 100 (like $100) whats the most number of donkeys, horses and elephants can we buy, given that the cost of a donkey is 50 paise, a horse cost Rs 50 and an elephant cost Rs 10? (the money must all be spent)... OMG!! my nose bleeds.. LOL

1. Subtract 2y from both sides to get rid of y on the right:
3y-3=12
Add 3 to both sides to get rid of the '-3'.
3y=15
Divide by 3
y=5.
Conclusion: simplify the expressions by performing the same operations on both sides of the equal sign.

holy cow! so many, i will just show you 1, they all are basically same.
5y-3=2y+12
5y-2y=12+3, bring the 2y to the other side and and becomes -2y, bring -3 to the other side and becomes +3, continue..
3y=15
y=5

These problems are not difficult.
5y-3=2y+12
(cancel -3 by adding 3 to both sides)
5y=2y+15
(cancel 2y by subtracting 2y from both sides)
3y=15
(cancel 3 by dividing both sides by 3)
y=15/3
(divide)
y=5
These steps should help you with the rest of the problems.
m=3
n=-2
b=-3
x=7
I dunno the solution for the last 2 problems.
