I am trying to thread the needle on my sewing machine with a needle threader and I don't know how to use it.

push the needle threader through the eye of the needle, thread your thread through the larger loop then pull the threader back through the eye of the needle pulling the thread with it.

There are different types. For the little silver ones, you push the pointed end of the wire through the needle eye, then put the thread through the wire loop and pull the threader back out of the eye (hold the part where the wire joins the body - they break easily). The thread will be pulled through the eye as you withdraw the wire.
For others for sewing machines which have a plastic outer with a slit (with a metal bit inside) in them, you put the thread, at right angles, in the slit and then you position the threader against the needle and push. The thread is pushed by the metal bit in the threader into the eye.

You stick the needle threader through the needle and then place the thread through the threader. Pull out the threader and you have just threaded the needle.
