Let's all observe a moment of noise for the late Marcel Marceau, who had the only speaking part in Mel Brooks' "Silent Movie"... he said: "NON!"
Great question, by the bye.

The death of a mime is always an occasion for celebration. As each mime dies, the level of quality of entertainment in the world goes up just a tiny bit. Worth a 5 second golf clap at least.
Now here's a scary thought for halloween. Would a mime with catelepsy end up doing "The Box" in well...the box? While he silently screamed for help? I believe that actually happened to a mime once, but we don't know the details because he doesn't like to talk about it.

In fact I believe they are honoured with moments of silence as was the case with Marcel Marceau (hero!). May he rest in peace.
Perhaps those who attend the funeral should walk by the coffin and mime being behind glass?

It is a Mime tradition to honor them with the "Sounds of Silence."

Hee hee hee... we did that with our favorite librarian. Joined hands, stood in a circle, and sang Kumbaya at the top of our voices in the reference aisle.
He was the BEST too. Always kept a secret stash of popular items he knew you'd like off to the side to recommend whenever he saw you. And he had the best voice too. In fact, we never actually knew his name... everyone just called him "THE VOICE"... and you could hear the capital letters.
Of course he didn't actually die. He just decided to get married so he quit volunteering. Weird thing is... I was always pretty sure he was gay.
Hopefully he'll figure that out one day and come back to the library.
Uhm.... what was the question again?

They probably bury them in a glass coffin, and position the limbs so they look like they're trying to get out.....
Either that, or they bring a bunch of giant fans to the viewing......
