I'm wondering if it is legal for them to smoke weed because of it being close to their culture. If it is legal, what are the restrictions, thank you

Sure....but only if smoking weed is legal where they are.

Amsterdam? Most certainly. Toledo? Most certainly not.

Religion doesn't except you from obeying the law. Obvious examples: You still cannot steal (even if your religion required it), you cannot kill people (or even animals inhumanely). You cannot deflower virgins against their will. You cannot molest children.

And? You cannot ingest/inhale that which is against the law where you are.

I am a rastafarian and yes every culture is unique like catholics can allow children to drink alcohol during church services. But rastafarians do not allow children to smoke herb. And we only condone personal use not sale, distribution, or importation. So before you come on here and talk about a religion that has its own customs and beliefs maybe you should question your own.

The first miracle that Jesus performed used to be at a marriage ceremony- he became water into wine, so that that they had wine for the marriage ceremony.Catholics consider that ingesting some thing with alcohol in it isn't a sin. An excessive amount of of some thing is a sin, for example gluttony, false delight, hatred, gossip, envy, and many others.-additionally i'm unfamiliar with any person but the priest that drinks any of the wine in the course of the mass. The place did the 8 year historical come from?

In 2002, a three-judge panel for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled to limit federal prosecutions of Rastafarians who use marijuana for sacramental purposes on federal property or in U.S. territories. The judges determined that protections granted by a 1993 federal religious-freedom law permits the personal use and possession of marijuana - but not the sale or importation of marijuana - for religious purposes.

This decision is about 5 years old. I do not know if it was overturned or not since that time.

I don't think calling yourself an Indian or Rastafarian is going to allow you to smoke pot legally. Too many other high school kids have attempted to make that oh ...so clever...and completely unoriginal flawed argument for years.

I didn't know that Rastafarian's had a unique culture. Federal laws apply everywhere; State laws may be limited at Indian Reservations.
