It is against the law for you not to go to school unti you turn 16. What plans could a young person like you have that an EDUCATION would get in the way of???? Without at LEAST a high school diploma, do you have any idea how DIFFICULT your life is going to be????? Does the word VERY ring a bell? The only jobs you could possibly get would be at a fast food joint and they don't pay well when you are in your 20's and 30's and 40's and need money fro the kids or a doctor..... I am an old person so you probably think I am full of CRAP but TRUST ME dear, you do NOT WANT TO LEAVE HIGH SCHOOL.... you want to graduate, get your diploma and LEARN A TRADE or go to college and MAKE something of yourself.... dreams are wonderful things to have but to FULFILL those dreams, a GOOD EDUCATION is IMPORTANT....unless you plan on spending the rest of your life ON YOUR BACK!!!!!!

Dropping out of school may seem like a great idea now but in the future it is a decision you may regret. Most jobs require that you have a minimum of a high school diploma. By dropping out you are limiting the amount of jobs that you can apply to. If your plans fall through, what is your back up plan?
Stay in school and get your high school diploma.

I would like to point out something in your question that may help you change your plans: you said you don't WANT to go to school. The word want here is very important. In life there are plenty of things that we don't WANT to do, but we HAVE to do them. There are consequences to not fullfilling your responsibilities and most of them are way worse than the tedium that comes with sitting in the classroom. I don't know what your "plans" are, but if they don't include education, they aren't very good plans. I'll clue you in on something: the more education you have, the more opportunities you have, which means there will be far less things you HAVE to do, and more time to do the things you WANT to do. Please continue your education, and don't stop at high school, that doesn't do you any good any more.

Yes you will. I am sorry that you don't want to stay in school and at least get your high school diploma. Could you put your plans on hold for another year or two until you graduate? You will not be sorry. A high school diploma is important, especially if your plans fall through and you need something to fall back on. Stay in school and tough it out.

Yes, especially if you're not old enought to quit. My kids hated school like that. They couldn't see where they would ever use most of what was being shoved down their throats. My son, who was really upset over the kids that got to drive to school, told me he wouldn't go anymore unless I bought him a car. Needless to say, he got no car. He quit school in the 11th grade. In the next couple of years, he couldn't get a decent job, couldn't join the military, nothing was happening for him. I finally talked him into getting his GED, which he got in one day. He said he never thought it would be that easy. I completely understand you dislike of school. If you can, get your parents to allow you to quit and go get your GED. You can't get any place in life without it. If you just stop going to school, you may be locked up in a detention center. I hope you can stay and finish, if you can't, I hope you can go to Adult Learing and get the GED. Good luck to you.

Oh please I feel the same exact way.
But, everything I want to do requires a high level education and proof to back it up (degrees, etc).
So I'm kind of stuck.
