Okay so I'm in high school and I'm gay. I have not come out of the closet yet and i go to an all boys school. This school is very homophobic. But there is this kid who i think is gay but i don't know for sure. I like this kid alot, but I'm afriad to ask him if he's gay. If hes gay then it would be great. But if he's not then everyone in the whole school will know I'm gay. Is there another way for me to find out if this kid is gay? Thanks for the advice and please no hating.

Play very low and ask him really puzzling questions like "What do you think about gay people?" But before you do that, strike up a conversation first. Also, watch his every move and find signs. Good luck and stay cool!

Hey.
I recommend... let it go. At your age, you open yourself up to all kind of hateful stuff, name calling, jesting, bullies, which will take away from your schoolwork.

There will be plenty of time for dating when you are done with school.

I know, right now, so much is going on, you think "maybe I like this guy, maybe he'll like me back"... Don't out yourself just to try to see if someone else is like minded in that respect. If he feels comfortable with himself, and decides to tell you that he likes you, then you will know. Forcing the issue can't be good for you, no matter what his answer is.

If things develope on their own down the road, great... but for now, seriously, let it go and focus on school.

There is no sure fire way to find out if someone is gay without them telling you that they are....

Why do you have to "come out"?

Three men were talking. The first says, "I have a secret, I get turned on by men." The second says, "I have a secret too, I enjoy stealing stuff from people." The third says, "I also have a secret, I love telling people about other people's secrets."

Asking another person for their opinions and preferences is one thing--propositioning is another. Do your homework and ask the general questions first--or listen to the sense your head is telling you, this is dangerous, tread carefully.

You can have conversations with him about current events like gay marriage without outing yourself. See how strong he feels about the subject

Start talking to him about politics.
Ask him about human rights.
Ask him about the right to bear arms.
Ask him about gay marriage.

If he says positive things, then ask him if he is gay.

Lead into these things with better transitions, though.
