Perimeter of a rectangle = (2 x Length) + (2 x Width)
( or the sum of all sides )

x = width
2x = length
30 = 2(2x) + 2x
30 = 4x + 2x
30 = 6x

5 = x (width)
10 = 2x (length)

Let x = the length, 1/2x = the width.

Answer: 2(x + 1/2x) = 30

x + x + 2x + 2x = 30

The equation can be simplified, but you get the idea.
Let x be the width, and 2x be the length.
