God Save the Queen is the national Anthem of ALL the Home countries....why are England allowed to use it when one of their teams appear internationally? Is it any wonder so many Scots, Welsh and Irish deplore this arrogant and self-serving attitude? What's wrong with their "Land of Hope and Glory"...or, in the case of rugby...."Swing Low Sweet Chariot"?

GSTQ is the anthem because it has been forced on them, not because of choice. I think its rather a question of Wales, Scotland and Ireland NOT wanting to use it than England being allowed to use it. For heavens sake, let the English sing. Flower of Scotland, Ireland's Call and Land of My Fathers are far more rousing and heartwarming than saving the London based Queen (or King).

God Save the Queen is not the national anthem of all the Home Countries.

Ireland is made up of Northern Ireland (which would use the UK anthem and the Republic of Ireland who have Amhrán na bhFiann. Ireland's Call is sung at away games and both Amhrán na bhFiann and Ireland's Call are sung at home games.

What do you think a National Anthem is anyway?
America had its chance to use it too (with different words, of course), but blew it in favor of an English drinking song which would have been a pain in the neck to sing sober.
