We're all old now, so we walk uphill both ways from the parking lot to the job and back. In a snowstorm, no less!

Apparently some of these people didn't have parents that were born before 1920. For some reason, my dad used to tell us that same story. I had to walk to school barefoot in the snow and it was uphill both ways. Maybe it is because times have changed. We should bring those old stories back into our kids lives.

Probably because few people walk to or from school these days. Those who aren't picked up by family members usually take the school bus home. Also, if the snow storm gets that bad, they usually close the school for the day.

I guess because these days all the kids are so spoiled and pampered that if you made your kid walk to school in a snow storm the child abuse authorities would get u for child abuse LOL.

Global warming means not as much snow as when we were in school. Plus these new-fangled neighborhoods are more level than where I used to live.

The kids who are in school today will wait until they have children or grandchildren of their own --- and then try that old story on them!
