Sweetie, you touched a nerve. My dad was like that, more
interested in what he wanted than he was in me. He treats
my 2 sisters better, thankfully. When a dad does that it can
forever change who you are. But, God changed me and I
have forgiven my dad. He's 90--what kind of life can he have
when he ignores his oldest daughter? My heart goes out to
that child, I would want to give her a hug and a kiss and tell
her that there are so many others in her life that love her. Her
dad needs a reality check--what if he lost her--would it matter?

As a father allow me to answer. I have 4 kids, ages 7, 5, 2, and 7 months. Every time I leave, my two year old, Skylar , screams if I don't take her with me. If at all possible, I do so. Some say that shes spoiled (which she is....lol). However, it breaks my heart to leave her home screaming, crying, and yelling "daddy, daddy, I be good, I be good" ( she thinks I'm not taking her cause she'll "be bad". So I give in and take her....be it to the store, to the office to check my email and get on Yahoo answers, to the neighbors, etc. If you ain't got time for your kids who do u have time for? You are in a hurry to go to work....but why do we work? To make money to care for our kids....so take time for your kids, they'll love you for it and thank you for it as they grow older.

Oh I agree. Kids are so not appreciated now a day; well people aren't in general but mostly kids. It's a sad state of affairs that we have gotten into. And there are people who think being a stay at home mom isn't enough. It is the most important job anyone can have!

How is that precisely a white man or woman shirt? Their are black Italians and black human beings do stay in Italy, no longer purely white human beings. So, why might or no longer that's a difficulty if he wore the shirt, perhaps he like the lifestyle and life-form of Italy.

I see that at work all of the time. Parents coming in to buy snacks before their kids soccer practice. Rushing them along, yelling at them, treat them like crap! Makes me sick.
Parents need to stop fretting over their soccer game .. fretting over their meeting and spend a little time with their kids. Family is way more important.

I kind of agree with you, but there are some kids that beg for attention and need to be put in their place. She could yell "Daddy!" 16/7.

yeah people take the greatest things for granted, that's why I really try to appreciate even the small things. It really sucks because you never know when it`s going to be all over and then it`s to late you cant do anything once you realize what you missed.

Yes it is a special thing in deed! WE need to tell the ones we love that we love them while we still have the opportunity. Life is short!

I do... the one thing that I want most is a family and I hate it when I see people take it for granted.

Yes it is. I was just saying to my husband that we don't tell the people we love in our lives exactly how much they mean to us. Then when they're gone we can't tell them anymore. Like my sister. She has no clue how much she means to me and if I lost her I don't know what I'd do.
