I have a wireless lynksis router and wanted to give it to my cousin which lives in another state. However, when i went to install it wouldn't let me....i keep seeing my wireless network. How can i erase the old wireless network so he can set up a new one? Can this be done?

Log in to the router, go the the wireless settings and change the SSID of the unit. That is what "names" the wireless connection.
You can also change the wireless security settings.
Most linksys are configured by using your web browser, just go to http://192.168.1.1 enter your username and password to reconfigure. Use a cable to connect an reconfigure it.

If you want to totally reset the router, there is a small button on the back. You can push it in using a paper clip or a pen, with the router on, hold it for about 15-20 seconds and release. That should restore the router to its factory defaults.

Even though the name is the same, you aren't connected to your network it just the name you have on that router!
