C+++++++, .1 percent needed to be a B

here's the easy way to figure it all out....
4 is an A
3 is a B
2 is a C
1 is, unfortunately, a D
Therefore, a 3.8 would be a high B or A-
A 2.9 would be extremely close to a solid B
when figuring your GPA, just take your letter grades and assign the proper number to it, then divide by how many grades you got
example- if you got 3- A's, 2- B's and a C, you would add
4+4+4+3+3+2= 20 divided by the 6 grades= 3.3 GPA

2.9 is between a B and a B-minus

but I would just call it a B since a B is 3.0 and 2.9 is pretty close

i think 2.9 would be like a c+ and a 3.8 would be a b+ based on 4.0 being a's

2.9 sounds like some c's and b's or else a's and d's
