My first pregnancy ended up in miscarriage, my second pregnancy ended up with the birth of my daughter and now I am 16 weeks pregnancy and on my third pregnancy. I remember feeling my daughter start to move around 20-21 weeks. I always get a little nervous around this time because you never know if something is wrong or not (unless you have bleeding or severe cramping). How soon do you think I will feel this little one move on a consistent basis? I think sometimes I feel it move but am not so sure.

Well, every pregnancy is different. Since this is not your first pregnancy you may feel the baby earlier.... or you may not. Since you said that you think you might have felt the baby alreay, you probably have... those early movements can be mistaken for gas. At 16 weeks your chance for miscarriage hasalready dropped significantly. If you have heard the heartbeat that is another positive! Make sure you are going to your appointments and as long as they feel that you are progressing well you are probably fine.

I will say that I have miscarries and know how scary it can be during the next pregnancy. You really just need to take comfort in knowing the milestones you have reached and with each one the risk drops.... Then when you start feeling the baby every day you will feel a lot more confident! Good luck & try not to worry.

I am nearly 18 weeks and still am not sure if I feel the baby. This is my 6th. I have lost 4. So, I understand being scared out of your mind that something is wrong. If you have not already had one, you should be getting an ultrasound sometime between now and 18 weeks. I am having mine October 31 and will be 18 weeks to the day. Due to my history of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies I have already had 2 ultrasounds but do not feel much yet and am worried and cannot wait for the 31st. Ask your doctor when you will be having yours!!

Some people don't feel the baby move until around week 20, especially if the placenta is on the front wall of the uterus. It acts kind of like a padding against the kicks.

I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with my second child and I'm not showing much yet either although I began to show immediately with my first. It's probably all in the way the baby is positioned, (s)he could be laying more toward the back of your uterus. You'll probably wake up one day, look in the mirror and be like.. "dang, when did that happen?" lol

Don't worry - everything is fine - like you said around 20 - 21 weeks but some women feel it earlier. I will never forget one woman I read about who aborted before 20 weeks and she said she could feel movement - poor baby!

I dont know.. I felt my son move at 14.5 weeks. And by 17-18 weeks it was on an all day basis.

just wait it out. Theres no reason to assume your body intends to fail your baby, it has done its job wonderfully with the result of your daughter.

After 12 weeks, the risk of miscarriage drops dramatically, so you can relax.
