left it so I adopted it buy I have no place to put him as Ive been keeping him in a 5 gallon aquarium and only recently found out its not suitable and now he seams either sick or depressed he's been hiding under a plant for days (he's alive) I think it made it worse I tried to put him in with my tetras in a much larger tank and he just scared them. I cant switch tanks cause I have 5 in the 10 gallon. Please help do you think there's someone would want it?

actually you can put your tetras into the 5 gallon and leave your goldi in the 10 gallon, but take out the heater when you leave him in there
once you're able to upgrade, put your tetras back into the 10

Hope that helps
Good luck

I will take him/her if you are in Miami. If not, the first person suggested a really good idea place him/her in a outdoor pond, but do to the change in temperature place the Gfish on tha plastic bag and then put it in the pond for about 15 minutes, after this you can release the G-fish in to the pond. The reason why this step is important is because the fish has to re adjust to the new temperature and if is done instantly in can do serious damage. Hope this helps, if you are in Miami send me an email ramcolon@gmail.com

hell yea you can its simple 5 1 inch tetras in a 5 gallon (i never use the 1 inch of fish rule unless they are flat bodied tropical fish) the ten gallon will be ok if its just a double tail if not you own the property so go to the home depot and buy one of those plastic ponds it seems like a big job but if you have any big guys at work just offer them 40 bucks each and a case of beer

and ask another q about how many of your current fish you can keep in a 100 gallon pond (the one at home depot

Put it in a lake or outdoor pond. Goldfish don't have a problem with living in frozen ponds as long as they're not frozen solid. But if you're going to do it, do it now before the water gets too much colder. You don't want to give him a system shock by giving him too huge of a temp change all at once.

try your local pet store or just put an add in local paper or shop windows to any one with a pond to take him

you can either offer it to someones private pond, putting him in a public pond or any other ecosystem without consent would be against the law. Or you can donate it to petco, petsmart, or any other retailer.
