My baby recently started taking his covers and pulling it over his face when sleeping, he can still breath fine, but has your baby ever done this? Why might he be doing this? He loves to hold his covers though and they are very thin blankets too. There is another baby at the daycare that does this too.

My 2 week old daughter tends to snuggle her face into her swaddling blanket at night. Even in the hospital, she grabbed the blanket and put it over her nose because it was cold. It was the absolute CUTEST thing I have ever seen. It probably just makes him comfortable.

My son sleeps with his covers over his head. He has since he was about 6 months old. Just just likes the heat from his breath and the softness of it.

Unless he's a premie and very young, or unable to sit and roll, I wouldnt worry about it.

My baby sister did this as well. It freaked my parents out as well but eventually they accepted it. i agree with the previous comment, its probably a comfort thing.

I would say he is doing it as a comfort thing.
