actions in Iraq that they almost always stress or at least make it very apparent (repeating over and over) the civilian death toll over the accomplishment of the mission?

Every time i read a news story on yahoo concerning something in Iraq it is always worded in such a way as to cast doubt on what our soldiers did and make them look like a bunch of crazies looking to murder who ever happens to be there.

Would you like the US military to come to your town and start killing people? On any pretext whatsoever?

I didn't think so.

So . . . isn't it unusual and newsworthy that somehow our troops keep fighting with civilians and killing them, but make no progress toward leaving Iraq?

Whoever happens to be there?? It is their home. They live there, and they have a right to keep on living there. Their homeland is not our playground. Even Bush used to claim that we were doing this "for them." And now you have the nerve to say that innocent civilians are getting in the way of our military missions? And that their deaths don't even deserve to be reported? Hang your head in shame.

Yahoo! News sucks. Check out their top rated stories. I'd give them a more conservative bent then liberal.
