How can I force myself to get into the pattern of doing homework immediately after school?

I tried to do all my homework AT school, so my home time was free time. My parents wondered why I almost never had homework, but didn't bug me 'cause my grades were O.K. Hope that helps. Also, I hated spoiling the 'home' vibes with schoolwork.
