Put the following equation into y=a(x-h)^2 + k
vertex is v(h,k)

y=3x^2 - 5x + 2

help! step by step please :)

I think you mean "into THE FORM ..."

OK. a(x^2-2hx+h^2) + k = 3x^2 -5x + 2, coefficient by coefficient.

So

a=3
-2ah = -5
ah^2 + k = 2

The first equation immediately tells you a. The second one then tells you h. (h = 5/6) The third one then tells you k.
