Major Gen. Smedley Butler, ran for congress in the 30's he said no one selling weapons or other could be paid more than soldier in the field, take to profit out and war will be a thing of the past. he also wrote "War is a Racket" after he won the CMH ( congressional Medal of Honor)2 times and was the most decorated US Marine in line for the Commandant of Marine Corps, but he made enemies with his truth telling.
Major Gen. Smedley Butler....
"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints."[19]

Support from above, you mean? The profit private companies and corporations make from the Iraq war aren't passed down to the middle class or even their employees. It primarily goes to the executives and CEOs---see Halliburton and Blackwater. But from watching the polls, support for the war among voters and particularly the middle class has been declining, and it has nothing to do with profits.
I don't know if the corporate sector or the lobbyists really see wartime as a better period for profit---there's been this historical argument that Roosevelt didn't end the Depression, WWII did; but during other wars like the Korean War and Vietnam the domestic economy underwent periods of recession, and now we're seeing record falls in both the U.S. stock market and the value of the dollar.
I agree, what bothers me a lot about this war is that very few of us have been asked to make sacrifices: I still see Humvees and huge SUVs racing down the freeway in the morning with only one occupant; and the soldiers you see being brought home in caskets are primarily from small towns and rural areas where the economy has been flat for years and jobs aren't available for young men and women just out of high school. My own opinion is that what would kill support for the war overnight is if we reenacted the draft and forced the children of the upper and upper middle classes to serve in the military. A 10 percent cap in profits would not deter corporations in a time of recession, which is what we are undergoing right now.

As a armed forces spouse, of direction, ideally, I help the assumption of peace. of direction i might fairly have my husband living house with us each and every night. That being mentioned, i'm additionally a realist. To think of international kin utilising international regulation might artwork is merely naive. the reason we are in Iraq interior the 1st place is with the help of the fact Iraq refused to abide via previous sanctions located on them, and the UN did no longer enforce this is very own rules. you could no longer rigidity peace on a rustic whose leaders are something yet non violent. earlier peace could be sought, those leaders could be taken out of capacity. So, you're bored stiff with the troops who hate the actual fact you pick peace. in line with danger the actual reason they hate you isn't on your choose, yet on account which you reside in an unrealistic international of doggies and rainbows and that they understand the actual international does not artwork like that. in line with danger they see first hand what is going on, what they're up against, and the version they have made and proceed to make. in line with danger they hate you because of the fact human beings along with your innovations are combating them from doing thier job, which interior the tip, may be the sole thank you to create the peace you're finding for.

Every contractor would take you up on this if you would guarantee 10% profit.
As a matter of fact, you guarantee to cover all losses out of country and they'll settle for less.
You personally.
Not so sure now?
You are believing false numbers.

that law wouldn't even make sense.... first if a company can only make a 10% profit.. then that means consumers (you or I) may not be able to get the things we need like gas, hair gel, or food just because that law is in effect..... not to mention any stock broker would move their money into cash when companies can't exceed their expectations, if they can even meet their expectations, or even live up to their worth.. that would kill the entire economy...companies that aren't getting money from stock holders can reinvest that money to make money and if a company can't make money then employee's can't get paid..... can we say recession and job loss..
