Hi friend: all depends of the model of the car, make, year and state u live in. New vehicles should be change the oil, every 5000 miles, others, 3000 miles and if you drive more than 40 miles around trip, you should have change the oil ,every 2 months. It will make your car run stronger and better. You have to know that the life ,in the car, is the fresh oil and u will have your car as loooong as u need it..

i take advantage of a synthetic oil (Royal pink) and alter each 8000 miles besides the incontrovertible fact that it claims you are able to flow ten thousand miles. It costs extra money yet I do get greater useful gasoline mileage. the keep that variations my oil places a clean oil clear out on at 4000 miles and tops off the oil if it desires it for no value.

I start asking the old man to do it around 3000 miles after the last oil change. He says, "oh, it's good for at least 5000 (since the last change)"
Long story short, every 10,000 miles....sad, but true.

I was always within 100 miles of when I should. For the very first time in my life, I am Now 1000 miles over due, due to things going on in our lives. It's the first time that it has gotten out of hand as well as trying to be able to afford things lately!

3,000 miles and it is the best preventative maintainence to keep other issues from arising. One year answer is ridiculous unless you leave it parked and even then you need to change it from season to season.
