I don't know who won this one, Here's my take on it.... Giuliani was stumbling and slurring over his words, telling lies, trying to defend his pro choice, Thompson, slow, sharp, and but strong, stronger than Giuliani. McCain looks like the only person that was truthful. Congressman Paul they didnt let speak much, Huckabee seemed the best, the most presidential, like an honest person. Romney seemed liked he was trying to look the best, and put a spin on everything...while Giuliani loses his frontrunner status, Romney holds his strong, or pretends too.

The last time I checked Ron Paul was winning in the poll, but I wouldn't say anyone won. Every debate I watch, it just gets worse and worse. I was extremely disappointed with all the candidates. Romney and Giuliani keep proving themselves to be pathological liars, In 2005, Romney was pro-choice, then he has the nerve to criticize Hillary when he himself had a similar health care plan in his state, and he never reduced nearly as many mandates as he claimed. In 1994, he was quoted as saying "We are not going to return to Reagan and Bush" now after every sentence all he seems to say is Reagan this Reagan that. But the biggest liar of the night, as usual Mr. cross dresser himself Rudy Giuliani, how many times can one person flip flop on gay marriage? Don't forget before he was mayor, he was not a Republican but a liberal, he supported gay marriage and walked in gay parades as mayor. Then he said he would only support civil unions, when he decided to run for the Republican presidential candidate, but he voted against President Bush's amendment banning gay marriages, now he says if gay marriage gets to "popular" then he'd make his own amendment to ban it. Suddenly he came up with marriage should be only between a man and a woman, IT'S WRONG TO BE GAY, BUT IT'S OKAY FOR YOU TO MARRY YOUR SECOND COUSIN? Then the dumbass suggested that public schools are horrible (which they are) so we should give parents options on whether to send them to public or private ones, THEY DON'T HAVE AN OPTION BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD PRIVATE SCHOOLS, IMPROVE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATION, THAT'S WHAT OUR TAXDOLLARS PAY FOR.. not to mention, he couldn't even sign the confirmation to lower taxes, which means he won't.. no matter how many times he says it with his lisp. All Romney, Giuliani, and Huckabee also said they would privatize social security, which is exactly what most people in this country fear. Thompson would all together cut benefits? so no one is happy, the only thing that was impressive about him, was that he was the only one on that stage, besides Paul who would use diplomacy with Turkey. And how could you be against abortion, when you lobbyied for a pro-choice firm Thompson? I used to like Huckabee, but now I'm getting sick of his rehearsed statements.. he basically says the same thing as Romney and Giuliani, just words it different, don't fall for it.. And don't forget Huckabee said he would go to war without the consent of Congress (remind you of someone?) McCain was impressive last night, I like that he took a shot at Romney, wish he would take one back at Giuliani for lying about his tax record in the last debate. Paul barely got a word in... But he has the only valid plan for taxes and social security... The rest of them keep saying that democrats will raise taxes, Democrats have to raise taxes because we are funding a trillion dollar war that you want to keep going on with... The only way to keep taxes low, make sure everyone has social security is to reduce government spending and stop wasting money abroad.. either way both parties would have to raise taxes and neither one of the top tier candidates have any solution for social security besides privatizing it. Paul was right, social security is going bankrupt, we need to take care of our seniors and young people. Give the young the option of opting out if they chose to, make sure we can get all our babyboomers covered by reducing government spending, not raising taxes! This debate was such a waste of time!

The Gop shot itself in the foot long before this. Vice President Cheney shot one in the face. I don't think we'll have a Republican in the White House next election. We can't afford it. To keep a balance until a third party is strong enough to pose a serious threat to the electoral seats the established powers must concede to "re balance" the positions by having a Democrat elected to the Presidency. They'll do what ever necessary to accomplish this agenda.

Pauls need to be given more airtime.
To poster greatrig: it's not the democrats who want Paul to be nominated so that they can defeat the republicans, it's the republicans that are going to VERY reluctantly vote democratic if he doesn't get nominated, who are supporting him the most. There are a whole lot of republicans who really don't want to leave the party, but will if they don't get an anti-war pro-America candidate.
If there are democrats who want Paul it's for the same reson that the republicans want him.. They don't want any of the democratic candidates, LEAST of all Hillary.
Ron Paul's supporters are Americans who are fed up with the current situation and want an honest, intelligent man to help heal the nation. Who better than Dr. Paul?

I wasn't able to watch it, I don't get Fox News anymore. Your take seems like what I've seen in other debates. Except I haven't been able to see Fred in a debate and I've done enough research on McCain to believe he's a liar. He's against gun rights and in favor of amnesty of illegals. Those two policies are very un-conservative. Being a Ron Paul supporter, I'd like to see each candidate get equal time in the debate. I'd like to hear more from Hunter, Huckabee, and Tancredo because I believe that those three will be the likely VP candidate from the Republican party.

Sorry I didn't catch the debate. Will have to watch it on YouTube... I don't expect anything different. Same old liars on stage, and wouldn't let someone like Ron Paul speak the truth.. It's going to look more and more ridiculous and the scarier part is that some people just gobble up all the bovine excrement that these liars spew forth from their oral cavities... It's just sickening.

What else is new, they don't let Dr. Paul talk much. Someone seriously answer why they do not let him and some other candidates talk much. Sure they might not be"top tier" candidates(whatever that means), but all candidates should have equal time to speak so people can hear all the ideas, and decide who they think is the best. Not the current system where only a few talk.

Out of all of them I think Huckabee and Hunter seemed more like the Reagan Republicans that I've been looking for....I especially like Huckabee...his morals and his love for God and country!!...I thought Thompson was too slow and just didn't look like he really wanted to be there...Romney looked good and had some good answers...and Giuliani tried to be too funny at times...but gave some good answers....there are non that I really DON"T like...but my favorite is Huckabee and that is who I will probably vote for in the primary..
