Medicine would be a good idea.

You can get any undergraduate degree -- as long as you meet the requirements to get into medical school. It is a good idea to do more -- so a BS in Biology or Chemistry is a good idea. Then there is four years of medical school, followed by at least three years training as an intern and resident in Family Medicine.
