I have a nice ficus tree, a corn plant, spider plants, a philodendron, and a wandering jew, all inside. I have some really nice outside plants but you asked for inside plants.

I'm divorced. My only child, whom I love dearly, will be 23 on the 23rd. However, I am tired of nurturing anything but myself. I have houseplants though. All silk. Beautiful; and they don't NEED me.

Sure do. Not only do they offer beauty to the room but because they help with us breathing they keepthe room from being all stale. Now everything is fresh and floral. Although I have to check and make sure Im not allergic or my kids have allergies. But I love them. Especially the aloe veras and the African Violets, Forget-Me-Nots, anything with vines. Just be sure to water properly, dust them (the leaves can collect dust), keep them nice and neat, and of course, talk to them. The carbon dioxide from your breath gets circulated back into oxygen. Hmm Ahh!

I do not have a green thumb. In fact, before my husband and I got married, we had an apartment together...this was about 15 years ago...and someone had given me a cactus garden. It had about 5 different plants...I managed to kill them all.
Cactus require very little care...or so I'm constantly told...and I managed to let them all die.
Haven't had a plant in the house since. Unless you count the flowers my hubby gives me or has delivered to me now and then.

I think house plants are beautiful and they are no easy to maintain unless you don't have much to do. I've can say that I've tried and tried but didn't work out for me. Even the magazines say it is no longer the look you want for a home. I differ with them and wish I had a green thumb. I can't even grow ivy.

I have a lot of house plants. Ferns, palms mostly tropical as I live in Queensland, Australia. They are great low maintance and hardy. As well as herbs all in pots on the varanda. That way I dont have to buy them and when the wind russles them they smell great.

I tend toward those that are not easy to kill. I've had umbrella plants, philodendron and snake plants that have withstood my care. Occasionally I get lucky with something else. My problem is I'll go a month without watering. I do have a few that have decided to stick with me, but I've killed plenty.

Tropicals...they are the easiest. My favorite is the Pothos with a stick in the container for it to grow up. I also enjoy all varieties of Ivy, another easy to care for plant.
