I was hoping someone would know where i could find a copy of the New York Post from 1994 which was the game 6 of the hockey playoffs. Mark Messier is on the back page with the quote "we will win tonight". I would loooove to find this for my boyfriend for christmas. if anyone knows how i would be able to get a hold of this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm assuming you want to frame the backpage as opposed to the article itself, correct?

The NY Times has archived front pages available for sale and the Post might as well.

Try their website along with Newsday's and The Daily News. They all ran the story as a backpage headline that day. If you can't find that one, you'll most likely find some cup related headlines to consider.

I actually have one or more of those sitting in storage somewhere. Nice to see I'm not the only demented one here. lol

An actual, physical copy of the newspaper? I highly doubt it. I don't think you can even find it on eBay. If you do, it's probably all faded out anyways. It's the thought that counts though, so you might want to try to find a replica of the photo and a copy of the article in the Post's website. Good luck with that.

The Minneapolis Paper with Mario guaranteeing a Pittsburgh win in game 4 in 1991 is a more interesting article.

The only suggestion I have would be eBay. But I'm sure theres a copy of it sitting around in some sports collectible store somewhere in the US right now.

I do remember a versus commercial about the guarantee though:

Messier had gotten ahold of the script early, much as the movie makers did years later when the Red Sox were given a World Series they didn't earn either.
