My ex continues to blame me for our breakup and is not accepting that we BOTH had parts in our separation. Furthermore, she refused to communicate civily, so I had to move on. What are your thoughts?

If you both had parts in the relationship then common sense should tell her that each party had equal part in the break. Sounds like she is not using any common sense if she cannot be civil. Let her pout and move on.

Being a "first" does not automatically bu you in a position to be blamed for anything. It takes 2 people to make a relationship work. Your ex needs to take some responsibility in this situation.

When you're someone's "first", they automatically blame you because you hurt them after they gave a part of themselves to you; a part of themselves they can never get back. I understand about the communication issue is a dealbreaker, too. I think you need to quit communicating with your ex because he'll keep bringing this up because he wants to get back with you. I mean, he's trying to figure out where you went wrong but it isn't helping him because he isn't listening to your side of why you split the first time.
