I think the book was terrific. It wasn't the highest form of literature but it depicted a part of society that a lot of people don't know about--at least at the time. The ending is really a great twist as well.

I read this book for 8th grade a year ago, and I actually enjoyed it. It was very interesting. I liked how optamistic the poor Greasers were compared to the miserable wealthy Socs. It showed that money dosen't get you everything.
