I really would like to help.

Here is a hint: y = -2 x. Verify this by substituting the three given values for x and see if you will get the y values. Follow this pattern for the next two x values. For the last two, make x the subject of the formula by dividing both sides by -2. O.K., I think you can take it from there.

Can you work out how I got y = -2 x? That's what you will have to learn for these type of problems : the relationship between y and x.

Edit: sabeen...d above is on the right track but there is something wrong with his equation : y=(-2)x+6. If you were to substitute x=2, you will get (-2) x 2 + 6. That wil give -4+6 = 2. This does NOT agree with your table.

im pretty sure u have to use y=mx+b, where m is the slope, b is the y intercepts, and x and y are x and y. slope is any x,y pair minus another in the form of (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) in this case, lets use, x=2, y=-4, x=-1,y=2.
slope=(-4-2)/(2--1)=-6/3=-2. the slope is -2, so u can sy the formula so far is y=(-2)x+b. input a value pair for x and y. lets use the first one again.
2=(-2)2+b
2=b-4
b=2+4=6. therefore, y=(-2)x+6. now you can solve the remaining by putting in y or x whichever is given into the equation.

You were given homework to see if you can do it, not to see if some random person on the Internet your teacher doesn't know can do it.

If you can't do it then you are meant to fail. That's the whole point of there being a failing grade anyway.

you should be able to figure that out. Try A Homework hotline if you really don't know how to do it
