The body? Who says he's dead? I mean do you know when this myth surfaced? It's entirely possible for other animals to live for 100's of years, why can't Big Foot? And I don't know if you noticed, but in all the "pictures" I've seen he's VERY hairy! Kinda like a bear, and bears live through winters just fine without freezing.
Not saying he exists, just saying if you can believe in spirits and ghosts, why not Big Foot too?

thermal heat dude thermal heat. he stays near areas with natural hot springs and thermal vents. After a long day of scaring people, what better way to relax than to sit down in a hot spring to sooth those muscles. then take a sauna in the steam caves. thats the reason they have no bodies either, the other bigfoots put the dead ones in the boiling mineral springs and everyingthing is boiled away, bones and all.

the giant panda and mountain gorilla were once considered mythical creatures...lo and hehold, i have both at my local zoo.
a big foot-like creature would just be adapted to it's environment; it would survive the same way bears or deer or however else other animals survive: eat a lot and get fat--keep warm from the fat; eat alot, get fat, then sleep; migrate; et cetera and so forth.

my answer is: Hoo Hoo Har Har HAr HOO HOO! I know a family called the Hendersons who are on intimate terms with a bigfoot - so there. What I want to know is where are the, er, droppings, of this vast creature? Hmm? has anyonr clarifed that littel conundrum? Also, are they eligible for the dental plan? Maybe, gasp, they are Democrats!

we do have an ancestor that was human and gorilla like, the body is gigantic also. but in many trades, their bones were ground down into fertilizer. we only have a few bones that we can make predictions on how it used to look.
