Not sure if moth balls will keep the wasps away, but they will definitely keep your guests away. Even in the attic, they stink up the house. My Mom did that once and she paid for it for about a year. You could still smell it even after she removed the moth balls. Though I do agree with the first answer. My guess is, they are coming from the attic. Did you get any kind of guarantee on the exterminator fee? Call them back. Tell them they need to look deeper. I would also try mixing a spray bottle with two capfuls of ivory soap and the rest water. Spritz it around your doors, windows, and around the base of your house. It deters bees. I assume it will deter wasps. Worth the try.

Good luck!!

PS - I hate wasps. But this is the time of year for them...just before they sneak off to hibernate!!

I bet they are in the atic. You can check there. Moth balls are a great way to keep your atic clear of pests. Otherwise, check the parimeter of the house.
