install a K&N air filter. By itself this boosts a couple of horsepower and gets you a couple more MPG as well.

The easy, cheap way is the way the mfg. does it. Just push the accelerator. For example
250 ft/lbs torque @ 4000 rpm = 190 hp
250 ft/lbs torque @ 6000 rpm = 286 hp
so---step on it--- revs are hp

Not much out there free, but a true cold air intake can do it. NOS gas injection will work great too, but may be illegal where you are.
