It sickens me as well. It seems as though the national pastime these days is cruelty.

I agree fat ppl shouldn't be made fun of.
However, when an entire nation is becoming fatter, ppl are gonna notice. Because it indicates a health issue. Being fat is more than a cosmetic nono...it's dangerous.
It's been all over the news. America is one of the fattest nations in the world. It's not to make fun, it's to show that there is a lifestyle problem. Eating garbage and chemicals, not excercising because there are maids and machines to do it for you...there's gonna be a lot of rich heart surgeons in the next 20 years.....

our society has become so hardened. Both of these are so sad. A young boy humiliating himself by falling onstage(I am sure he has gotten teased endlessly for this) and the second video is so sad. How can that woman laugh the whole time at the poor boy in the seat beside her. They both really break my heart. Whenever I see someone making fun of some else I tell them "what if that was your sister, mother, father, son, daughter, etc. how would you feel with people making fun of them like that?!!" sometimes it help put thing in perspective.

Yes, I'm sick of that too. I'm actually thin, but I feel like laughing or teasing overweight people is the last acceptable prejudice. I don't understand what's so funny. Americans don't even have the right perception of what fat even is. Yes, it all drives me crazy too.

I absolutley agree. People aren't fat because they want to be. No one has the right to ridicule anyone, and certainly should not be allowed to profit from it. Those home videos are great if everyone in them has agreed and signed consent to have them publicly viewed by millions.

Nope, not going to watch the video. It would make me feel ill to do so.
There's nothing funny about seeing people who have these problems. I would not make fun of them. I have no idea why people find it funny. Doesn't anyone have empathy any more?
My preacher taught me to love other people when I was very young, and it has stayed with me.
