Is it some type of bored geek crank who has a deep hatred for the internet? I can just imagine them sitting there in a filthy grotty flat probably all fat greasy and sweaty living off microwave meals and junk food staring into his/her computer screen. These people seriously need some counciling and a life long prescription of chill pills to bring them down to some acceptable level of normality!

these people who create them have no ******* social lives. They sit on their computer all day and try to disrupt our lives. However, one could say that big businesses may create them too otherwise no one would buy their anti virus software

The people who create them probably have nothing better to do. It is possible that they aren't happy with themselves, so, they try and make others unhappy (sort of like a cyber bully).
I don't believe that you could achieve anything by ruining someone's day.

I think the companies that make virus protection pay the geek guys top dollar to make the virus'. think about it ...
If you don't have new virus' then your product doesn't continue to sell.

People do things like that because they can. It is one way of getting your fifteen seconds of fame and stretching it out beyond that.
