1/2 +2/3x 1/3=1/2+2/9= 9/18+4/18=13/18

1/9+3/8 / 9/4= 1/9 +3/8 x 4/9= 1/9+ 1/6=2/18+3/18=5/18

9/14-1/2x1/2= 9/14-1/4=18/28-7/28=11/28

1/2+2/3+1/3, think of two numbers that can be easily added:1/3 and 2/3. these add to be 1. so the expression is 1+1/2=1 and 1/2.
3/8 divided by 9/4 is the same as 3/8X4/9=(after crossing) 1/2X1/3=1/6. 9/14-1/6=(after finding the lcm) 27/42-7/42=20/42=10/21
try the last one by urself.

well first do the problem then if your having trouble simplifying take the smallest number and if nothing goes into it your done for example if its... 100
-----
200 just say hmmm what goes into 100? your probably automaticly say 2 so you just go 100/2 = 50 and then do the same to 200 so you get 50
-----
100
then do it again until you get here 25 now divide by 5
----
50
5
--
10 then you think its 1/2 and walaw here is your answer 1
----
2

Multiply all the equations to find a common denominator.

1/2 + 2/3 x 1/3
Multiply them all by 6, so you can get rid of the fractions and the problem becomes way easier. ;)
