I don't remember us ever being totally innocent. A lot of us were naive and some of us still are, but innocense was lost a long time ago. We learned through, I think, a harder school than you have today. When I was a kid we didn't have sex education, cell phones or even computers. We learned the facts of life through life. And no matter what others 'say' about us what we learned, you are going to have to learn in some fashion, somewhere down the road yourselves. That's my take on you question, anyway.

Oh yes! We have to go the the young people's section, to find the answers to life. We are so innocent that we are still learning about the birds and the bees. We are so innocent that we still believe the stork brings babies. And we still believe in Santa Claus. We also still, sing nursery rhymes. And we sure as heck don't believe anyone went to the moon.
Come into our parlour, we will teach you a thing or two. Good question.

'Old' people are just like everyone else. There are innocent ones and not so innocent ones. You can't judge a whole group of people by how one or two of them look or seem. Try to get to know all people as individuals and you will see what they're really like for yourself.

No. We didn't get to these ages by being "innocent". We were all innocent at one time but after years of dodging backstabbing we are very astute people.

Thanks for the compliment! Did not know that I looked innocent. I am not - and anyone who has passed the age of 60 has some regrets in life. But what does it matter - hopefully we have learned from our mistakes and are now doing good things with our time, and learning from those dumb mistakes of the past!

For the majority no, they are smart, shrewd and know how to get over acting innocent lol, no offense intended, they have earned that right.

I happen to be one of those "wild child's" that Gladys is referring to. I am 62 going on 22 & da** proud of it.
Don't believe a word Goldwing spouts about his halo either.
Most of us here on seniors, have a wild streak a mile long & a yard wide. Someone mentioned Woodstock-look it up, listen to the music of protests we lived, the changes we made-just so you & your parents could have a better life.
We broke the mold & just may have to either do it all over again or show you how.
Innocent? NOT HARDLY!!!
