Being externally (truly) connected can only result from an internal push outward.

This was a stupid question, and I apologize. I myself am far too much living from the outside, but I'm in a limbo, because I've reached a point where it's completely meaningless. The daze and pain of the void is, unfortunately, getting the better of me

I've always been internally motivated. External motivations seem creepy to me.

As far as I can tell, the goal in life is to fulfill internal motivations. Unfortunately, for most people, serving external motivations takes all their energy., Specifically, the external motivation of not being broke and thus starving to death.

Both. I suppose my external motivation results in internal motivation. My family, friends, books, pets, thoughts, love, laughter, and satisfaction are what keep me motivated. I not only want to live so I can harness all these things, but I also want to live just to live. And also, maybe people think I'm crazy, but I live for tiny things that seem worthless to other people. I live to stay up late on Friday nights, I live to watch scary movies with my friends. I live to play video games with my sisters, and I live to read. So, I suppose I'm more externally motivated, because I know that I alone in my thoughts isn't always sure enough.

My internal can choose whether or not I'm motivated externally. The ultimate drive comes internally.
