Why in the world would it not be ok to like a little bit of everything? Im not sure that makes sense.
Im a major punk music fan. Major! But I also love jazz and classical. I listen to just about everything except rap. I cant really get into that.
Just enjoy it. We were made to experience the beauty that music gives us. Why deprive yourself from it?

Personally I'll listen to any music, Rock; Blues, country, wrap, I find it gives me a good variate of songs. And when I'm with my B.F.F.s, We can break out singing, most of the time off key but, we don't care we have fun anyway! So basically its okay to listen to everything. I loved country and still do, but with my friends its hard to because they don't know how you really feel about it so most of the time they might change it to 96.1 or whatever. But don't let something like that get to you. Chances are they had no idea they hurt your feelings. So have fun with your music, life's to sort to waste it worrying about the unimportant. And just have fun things will start to fall into place sooner or later. Trust me!

It's actually really good to like different kinds of music. It's much more fun when u like different kinds of music, if ur friends are true friends they will not feel betrayed, hopefully this helps you : )

I think it is really good to like a wide range of music. The exposure to different styles can contribute to an appreciation of music. Moving away from punk and metal might increase your interest in the subtler aspects of music, too. :)
That's also a good thing.
Good for you!

I like how stupid the scene is today. It's ok for punks to listen to any kind of metal, but if you're a metalhead and you start liking punk, then you'll get it. Screw what everyone says. Punks are all about equality, no? :)

1. You should like what you like, no matter what your friends say. If they have a problem with it, they are not really your friends.
2. Why would you want to limit yourself? Music genres are artificial and many bands cross genres anyway. Why should the music industry - which likes neat little cubbyholes for marketing reasons - dictate your tastes?

The only things worthy of allegiance are deity, nation and significant other. We all (at least the healthy ones) grow, evolve, expand tastes in matters of music, art, culture. I seldom listen to any one station for more than an hour...and I still haven't reprogrammed my car radio since putting in a new battery!

It's perfectly normal to like more than one type of music! In fact, I think there's more people who like many different types of music than there are just one kind.
Personally, I love to listen to a variety of sounds! So just enjoy it :D

I listen to all kinds of music, pop, rock, country, R&B, a little hip-hop (but not too much of it). I don't listen to the rap music of current, nor am I fond of heavy metal or comedy.
I have 280 songs in my iPod, and they consist of a variety of these genres.

OF COURSE it is! What a silly question... what kind of life would it be if the only flavor of ice cream was VANILLA?
There is nothing wrong with diverse taste in music - and anyone that says otherwise has some serious mental issues! :)
Enjoy!
