Does anyone know of a town similiar to Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls, but on the west coast?

I grew up in a town somewhat similar to it. Small, small town in Oregon called Cascade Locks.

That would be wonderful wouldn't it. However; Stars hollow just doesn't exist any more. There used to be towns like this in the North East but they have all grown to the point that the small town feeling is pretty much gone. Even harder to find in California. There are some small mountain towns that still have that feeling. Crestline, and some of the desert communitys. Montecito in Santa Barbara. but you are not going to find anything like that with close access to the City and college scene.
