So far my children have been WAY more well-behaved and level-headed than I ever was at every age. I feel lucky, and only fear danger to them from strangers, illness and traffic accidents.

we keep foster children most of whom have 'been there done that' so nothing I could tell them would surprise them at all! But my biggest concern is of course drugs and STD's, but also just riding the wave and when life hits them (adulthood) they have no idea what they want to do and freaking out! I like to think that they are doing something to prepare them for adulthood! My mom let me get a job when i was 16 and I had to pay my own car insurance and buy my own gas and cloths but she never encouraged me to save any of it!

I agree with Dj-Finza. Except I am a teenage girl. My dad doesn't trust me at all I go to a friends house and suddenly he thinks I am sneaking off to hang out with boys. Or I don't want to continue doing something and I am taking drugs.

Always worried about all of them. Partying all the time (they've reached 18, but they're under 21--my youngest son & daughter). Mama always said I'd be paid back--and I didn't do 1/100th of what today's kids do.

I'm also a teenager, and i'm not trusted.
I'm drug free, still a virgin, and I don't do all these things most teens do. It's annoying that adults can automatically judge us just because of the majority of teens. I wish they would consider that SOME of us aren't like the rest.
